Like other people have mentioned.  Acorns are dropping, baits will slow up a bit if there abundant natural foods.  

I am of the opposite opinion of others.  I believe in baiting alot.  I baited in Arkansas for two years.  I filled up 55 gallon drums with donuts and grease.  I found the more bait you had out the more bears that came.  I saturated the ground with grease that way every bear that came and went left a nice scent trail right back to my bait barrel.

Fall is tough baiting, all the natural foods start dropping right when season begins.  Good luck and don't give up.
