MO Hunters. Are you ready?
«

Just bought my tags. Standard archery tag and two antlerless. 4 deer and 2 turkey are in trouble. My broadheads are sharp, the finest of them selected and filling my quiver, and I'm fairly certain that my sights are on ;P.
I'll either be out wednesday night(probably not due to church) or thurs. morning. I'm excited!
So who else is getting the itch for Wednesday?

I like to put things off till the last minute. Then I can stay up all night before the opener trying to find all my stuff, make sure everything is sharp, you know...it makes it more exciting!!!
Actually, I don't like it, but I always end up doing it that way...LOL!
At least I remembered to have my wife pick up my tags before opening day this year!

Then you are doing good! I'm still trying to find all my clothing and gear. Work and everything else has kept me from my usual level readiness. But I can't wait!

I'm ready and excited this year.
I've been hunting public land for the last three years (seeing mostly other hunters) and at the end of last season scored permission to hunt a nice little piece of private land that's only 5 miles from my house. It’s a 10 acre hay field that’s surrounded by timber and crops. The deer use the hay field to travel between bed and the corn/beans. I’m limited to stand hunting along the fence row, but can still to go to the public woods to still hunt when I want.
I also have access to a 40 acre farm that’s 90 miles from me that I hope to make a couple of trips to this season.
I won’t be out tomorrow, but I’m hoping to scoot out of work early on Friday.

I'm good to go! Have an arrah/broadheads combo that have already killed an antelope doe and a black bear, both on opening days! Hoping for more blood tomorrow after work!

Good luck everyone. We open on the 20th in Kansas this year.
A little fine tuning and clothes washing this weekend and lookout.

It will be a week or two for me to get out. Eager to do so, but want a little cooler weather first. I've had a serious dry spell here lately, 6 yrs now, so I'm more than ready to stock the freezer.

Nice! Had to work this morning. We had pretty severe weather, but there was a break around 1 that was making me wish I was in a stand!
