SORRY but the name "Pure Michigan" has been used.
I had the first Great Northern Super Ghost Limited Edition with the green glass and the Core wood was harvested on the GN land so the name was formed for it.

Very nice looking bow you have. As far as I care you can use the name because it fits that one also.

I thought that sounded familiar, but his says Pure Michigan by Two Tracks! Each bowyer in Michigan could make their own version. That would be cool.

No need to be Sorry DM, I know Jerry put that on his bows. I also think the state of MI uses the phrase for some promotions. This is just my take on it.Thank you

JJB, welcome back to the fire.Glad to be of help. Thanks for the kind word.
Mike, can you handle 55# of strung fury?    :p     and yes that would be cool        , I already have showed this to my buddy John Mc. He is coming over Friday to root thru my stash. BUT, I am also having My top secret supply guy come over. Maybe somthing new will show up.
TJ, Spalted wood is not the same as Burl. Spalting happens when the tree lays on the ground and picks up minerals and fungus that go into the fibers and stain the grain, or something like that. Maybe a wood expert will chime in.
Thanks again.

Chuck,I think a black walnut riser with some nice grain with a spalted window and veneers.Anything with that spalted ash would be a sharp bow.

I really like the Longwalker I have, but honestly, Osage is not my favorite. The good thing is, it changes color. The I beam osage would be sweet! I don't think this old SeaDog could handle 55# of strung fury though. If you get another built closer to 47-50# I would like to negotiate! How is Halverson's weight reduction coming on his bow? He just dropped off some arrows for my son-in-law who will be here next month to bow hunt. Guess he re-upped and already has plans for his 3rd deployment early next year. I hope I can get him in front of a deer!

Chuck, he's shooting a Root Rangemaster X166. 66", 35+@28 and drawing about 31 1/4. I bought this bow a few years ago and shot it in a league. Sold it at Compton's and bought it back last year (2 years later) from the same guy for a slight handling fee. He has a longbow that is heavier but he's not comfortable with it.
