Caught him crossing this morning...
« on: September 17, 2010, 08:58:00 PM »
Been seeing his track and sign for a while now but I had not caught a glimpse of him until this morning. Not my best pic but I snapped it quick and didn't have time to set for it as he was moving pretty fast.

You can see on his right rear haunch were the wolves or a bear got on him.

Sorry about the quality but you just don't see moose every day anymore, our herds been thinned something fierce by several tough winters and a very heavy population of timber wolves. My property abuts Superior National quite close to BWCAW, having moose around isn't uncommon, seeing them crossing the back yard in the daylight is.

It's a link because I edited it... picture too wide - max 640 pixels

Cool pic and great reflexes.

The quest to improve is so focused on a few design aspects & compensating for hunter ineptness as to actually have reduced a bow & arrow’s effectiveness. Nothing better demonstrates this than mech. BHs & speed fixated designs

Neat.....

That must have been a great experience. Thanks for sharing it. I hope you checked your 6 for a bear or wolves. He did appear to be on the move at a good pace. They may have been on his 6. Thanks again for sharing.
