Correct arrow for 45# recurve?

I have a new W. Wallace mentor recurve, 64", 45@28, and I draw about 28.5". According to the Foxfire chart, a 2016 should work out of this bow, but I'd like some opinions. I have been shooting a 54lb bow with 2020's and 145gr. points; I am shooting the 45lb bow using the 2020 and 250 grain points until I decide on the proper arrow, but they show overspined even with that much point weight. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Normally I'd say 1916, but I have a Mentor myself and it has always preferred higher spines than my other bows. I'd go 2016 just like you thought. Carbon something like a 35-55 or 500 should work.

Diamond Paul:
I have an Wes Wallace identical to yours (though yours is probably a right-handed version).
I used 2018s before I switched to Carbon Express 100s. The 2018s flew beautifully. I'll bet that 2016s would be every bit as good.
2018s, being a bit heavier, might be the choice for hunting. If I were looking for an "overall" arrow for hunting, 3-D, and paper targets, I'd favor the lighter 2016.

This is going to sound rediculouse but I shoot 2117's out of my K mag and they are stiff but shoot fine with 140 gr up front. Being stiff is better than being week in spine, the arrow will just correct quicker from the parodox. but I just got 1/2 dozen 2016 on a trade and ran them through that bow and they shot awsome.
as long as I'm accurate and leathal with my bow, I really don't give a hoot whats shooting through the bow.

MMilin: what length were your 2018's, and what point weight?

Diamond Paul:
28.5" and 125 grains. I should probably have mentioned that; sorry . . .
