Great achievement, congratulations.
Hunting was hazardous, but at least it guaranteed the freedom of the individual.

There is no doubt that the onset of farming saw the end of leasure for the majority of people, who were destined to toil in the fields.

The last photo showing your bull elk and your vintage bow is my favorite to look at. Jack Howard's bows are legendary.

I always wanted to grab up one of those Jets or Classics.  Someday I'll grab one...they dont come up for sale often though.  Beautiful bow. Awesome story, and congrats Ryan.  Where in Griz country were you guys.  Might be close to where I hunt.  I'd love to "run" into sometime.
Randy.

Thats a nice Elk Ryan, and a nice bow too.  I almost bought a Gamemaster Jet many years ago and now surely do wish I had.

I sure admire you Dad.

Man, sounds like a dream trip.  Thanks for sharing.  Now I can add that pict. of your camp to my dreams of far away trips..
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Very cool Ryan, congratulations!!!
To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

All you need is 3 things...a dead bull, a smile and a good 'ol MT blood trailing dog.  Good job.
