Early MI doe season

I don't care for the early, anything gos doe season, but figured might as well try for some venison. Shot this doe saturday morning.
My wife, Marie, went out with me tonight and we both made double lung shots with our Black
widow longbows. The venison supply is looking good.

Now THAT'S my idea of a great double date! Congrats to both of you. I'm sure your clan stands ready to help eat 'em up.
Denny, your doe sure likes like one of the wise old "longnoses" that are a challenge to fool. That is a great start to the season!!

Congratulations Denny. As we say up at Shrewhaven, "that's a BIG DOE".
We're unpatiently waiting for the first of October up here and the block broadhead target is taking the brunt of the lack of patients.

Great pictures!!!
With the cool temps who could resist. :D
I`m in Iosco county, and the rifles were booming.
We opted out, just WAY too much gunfire. More shooting this weekend, than ANY weekend during firearms season that I can ever remember.
You got some HUGE does around you!
Great shooting!!!

Man! Those deer are huge compared to East Texas deer. Great shooting.

Congratulations Denny & Marie! Those old does are sometimes tougher to kill than B&C bucks. I'm sure she probably saved a lot of bucks in her day.
