« on: September 21, 2010, 04:10:00 PM »
Was thinking of making my first stand appearance tonight.

but....

its 82 degrees
sw wind at 20 dies down to 10 at 6 pm (perfect for my stand)
and is supposed to rain about 2 hours after sunset.

What would you do?

Hunt crazy man! If there is rain moving in within hours you can bet the critters will be active. Besides, its hunting and why wouldnt you go?

Statistics alone grant that the more time you spend in the woods the more game you will encounter. I care little what the weather is like. When I can hunt I do. No matter what. Its not like the game goes back inside and watches football when the rain comes down.

Maybe this wasn't a serious question and you're just pulling my chain  :)

To hunt or not to hunt?  That is not even a question.  Get out there and show the muzzleloaders how it is done.

Click the heels of your ruby slippers together three times, and get out there. Better yet, I'll try it and wish I was in Kansas.! Good luck!

If I had land or a place close to My house, I would be out hunting... If it's hot out, I'll be looking for water holes, streams, ponds and rivers.

Was a good night in the stand. Then again when is it not? I did not see any deer, but I was amused for about 30 minutes watching the fattest squirrel I have seen in a long time.

Can't shoot one in sitting in the house.  :p
