ILF string length?
« on: September 23, 2010, 08:39:00 PM »
Hello all,

I have a question about string length for an ILF bow.

I have a Morrison mini 14 coming my way soon and have a pair of Sebastian Flute, medium foam-carbon limbs.

Does anyone know what length string I would need?

thanks,
    Tom.

Almost positive your going to end up with a 56" amo bow.  I have one with a set of Hoyt G3 longs and its 58" amo.  My string is twisted to 54 1/2" for a 7" brace height. So I would be looking for one about 52" but preferably a half to a full inch longer...you can always twist it up a bit.

Yep Tom you need a 56" string. The easiest way to figure you sting lenght is distance between limb bolts plus limb length. Thanks,Jim
