Folks, I met Mike Rash, Legend Bow Bowyer, this past summer at the IBO Trad. World at Twin Oaks club in Tenn, what a great guy.
Of course, being me, I had to invite him the the Howard Hill Southeastern Classic for 2011. Now, he couldn't commit coming all the way from California, even though he certainly seemed like he'd like to come. He did, however, say he'd make and donate to me one of his beautiful Spike Recurves to auction or raffle for the Boy Scout camp I use for part of my range.
That was then, this was last night. My reason for calling was getting a little info for an 11 year old wanting to get started in traditional archery.
Mike spent quite a bit of time, not trying to sell me a bow, but giving me great advice for this young man.
There's no doubt that when I get back with this young man's mom, I'm gonna do my best to put one of those Spikes in his hands.
Did I say that Mike's a great guy.
Hopefully I can get him at the HH Classic next year, so folks here can certainly come to the same conclusion I have.
