Good shooting BUT you shouldn't shoot straight up in the air -- it's really dangerous   :bigsmyl:

I was trying to figure out what you were talking about until I looked at the video link again.  That was a good one.

Tried this light bow at 50 yards awhile ago with these arrows.  The arrows sure flew pretty but with the light weight bow it deffinately put the "arch" into archery.  I was happy to hit the hay at first.  After a few shots I was getting close to the paint on the middle bale.  Not consistant but getting the feel for it.

Nice video and nice arrow making. But, tell us something about the bow you are shooting. It is an old Bear, Pearson or what?

It's a Pearson Collegion.  Hope I spelled it right.  It's 36@28" and a dream to shoot.  Had to make myself quit this afternoon.

I bought the bow 2nd hand for $35.  Money well spent in my opinion.  I don't know how old it is but it came with an original glove w/ snap, armguard and some micro flite arrows.

After trying at 50 yards I moved in to 30 yards.  I was zipping the arrows into the bale and was fairly accurate to boot.  The arrows were still arching at 30 yards but moved along at a good clip.

I smiled all afternoon.  It was really fun shooting that bow and my own arrows.

Great job Pac!!

I am so happy that there's another one out there that seems to like building arrows.

I wouldn't have anything to shoot if it weren't for folks like you...lol

I ain't gonna say it this time.....lol

Glad to see somebody else is trying dowel rods for arrows.. I just ordered 56 3/8 birch dowels cost me a whole $26.00, went to walmart and bought a few of theres to try first they turned out pretty good curious to see how these turn out.

I was so nervous on my first few shots.  I drew 1/4 draw and shot.  The arrow didn't break so I drew a little more the next shot and kept going until I was at full draw.  After several shots at full draw I never thought about the arrow breaking upon release again.

Now I'm curious as to if I can build a arrow for a hunting weight bow without skewering myself?  Anyone use a dowel for a bow in the 50@28" range?

Finished my birch arrows they shoot great they are a lot stronger then the composite wood dowels you get from walmart or hardware stores. I've been shooting them for a couple days now out my 62# @ 28" damon Howatt recurve

Nice looking Collegian... I keep eyeing those when they pop up on E-*** every now and then.  Great job with the arrows!
