Always a sad day.....Deer and Elk Archery is over in Colorado. Had a great season though. Already excited for next year!

Good luck and good huntin', Kevin. Our season is SO short compared to alot of places, but I'll take what I can get.

Nice photos. Can you not hunt with a bow during rifle season? Is there a rifle season about to commence?

Our early season ended today. I still have 2 weeks at the end of Nov. into Dec. for the late season. Hopefully I will fill my tag in that time frame. Otherwise, I'll be dreaming of next year eating tag soup.

Too bad that the season is over already. Our son moved to Ft. Collins last November, and he's facing the same problem. He's used to Wisconsins three month long season, and this year he got in about ten days of chasing elk. He's done, too. So many animals, yet so little time.

Know the feeling, wanting to get another year in the Elk woods I put in and drew a limited opportunity area tag here in AZ. The season ended with no Elk harmed. I found a few worth chasing and hearing the few bugles I did made it all worth it.

Can't wait for deer to open again in Dec and hope the Elk draw will be kind next year.

Man that sucks. I know Colorado is a great state, and I have always wanted to live out there BUT. Is it like that in most of the western states? Come to Ohio our bow season runs from Sep 25th strait through to early Feb. We have lots of public land and you might just get a shot at a monster, on public land.

Piggy - the general archery season is 30 day's.

I have traveled quite a bit in the past, but money is a little short this year.

Colorado is also a chose you weapon state. So if you buy an Archery tag you are done. They have some doe and cow tags that are left overs that a guy can buy and hunt on.

Thanks Elksong, That's rough only having a 30 day period to hunt Elk.

Cheers

Great pics.

Does anyone show up for work in the month of September??? I might be a "no-show" with only a short window to hunt like that.
