New to me Toelke Super D
« on: September 27, 2010, 06:26:00 AM »
Just got this last week,  havent had much time to shoot it, but will this week.   It was made by Dan Toelke in Aug. of this year so its really as "new".   Specs are 64"  54#@28,   Pau Ferro riser, Bamboo Core,  Myrtle veneers with Bighorn Sheep tips.    Here are a few pics,  for the life of me (or my camera)  I couldnt get good close up pics of the tips.

Shoots just like it should,  smooth, straight, points perfectly, -0- noize, and only slight thump on release ( WAY less than any other "D"'s ive shot).

I think the guy who had it built had this grip made specifically for him,  as it is more of a locator, and I like it much more than the 3 other Super D's ive shot.

Enough from me,   here are a few pics,   sublime beauty.

The quest to improve is so focused on a few design aspects & compensating for hunter ineptness as to actually have reduced a bow & arrow’s effectiveness. Nothing better demonstrates this than mech. BHs & speed fixated designs

Chop did you get a D or a Whip?   I have both and like each for different reasons,  both great bow designs and made with top level attention to detail.
