3Feathers, KAT and myself spent the mourning on the mountain before the rains came. Not much move'n,alot of acorns dropping but not a bad sit. I only feel asleep twice....[yea right]   :biglaugh:

Didn't see anything this morning but saw 8 does in the evening. Nothing close enough to even get excited about. Tons of turkeys as well. Saturday I hope to get a turkey, deer and another bear. Not that I want much or anything like that, right....
Good luck out there guys. Have fun.

Good Luck you guys. I wish the Army woulda kept my son at Fort Drum. I really enjoyed the contrast of hunting those Northern New York woods compared to AZ.
A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight;nothing he cares about more than his own personal safety;is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

Going up tomorrow to spend some quality time in the wood, changed  packs, going lighter with a Cat Quiver and waist belt. Trying only to take the things really needed.Sooner or later I'll get it right....lol. Weather sounds good but it might be a bit warm.

I haven't had a chance to get out yet as I am just finishing up a new roof for the house.  But, my son got a bear on opening morning of the early bear season with his homemade recurve.  Was not even able to get a good pic before it was cut up though.
Good luck everyone and stay safe.
Mike
