I was out yesterday afternoon in Oswego County. Nothing moving except the acorns were falling like hail. I will go out for a walk again this afternoon for a couple hours.

Ken & the boys,
I am praying for your success! Hope to meet you guys there for some hunting and camp life. Long season but goes by so fast with more work days than days in the woods. Good luck!

It was nice to be out yesterday afternoon. Quite a few beech nuts falling in Parish. I had one walk by me in a hurry about a half hour before sunset. It was about 50 yards away. I got my binoculars on it and watched it for about 10 seconds and it disappeared. It had its tail straight out and looked to be walking in a zig-zag pattern. Wasn't feeding as far as I could tell. So, I was happy to see something.

FINALLY got my power back! My power has been out since I got home from work yesterday. The wind knock down a power line something fierce. Momma and baby were very unhappy. It was miserable humid and hot in the house and no breeze coming through the windows. Iraq flash backs.... Nobody slept. I couldn't convince my wife to sleep in a tent in the yard under the rain. lol It would of felt better.
I cant wait till the morning. Gotta get up at 2am. Im SOOOOO looking forward to this. See you all in the AM.

What a great mourning, birds singing, owls hooting, coyotes howling and turkeys clucking, but no deer. I almost had a shot at a turkey hen until her brood came along like Moe, Larry and Curly
and spoiled the whole thing. Lots of tree rats having a field day. Lunch around the fire at noon and just a good day to be out .....I'm sure others will chime in later!!

3 others had chances at Turkey. No Deer sighted. I saw 3 squirrels from the top of the mountain and 2 ravens. Weather was great bit nippy but there was no other place I would have rather been.
What a great group of Trad gangers on the mountain today.
