Broadhead setup question

According to Stu Miller's spine calculator, I am going to need a 255 grain broadhead to get my ST Epic 600's flying right from my 35# longbow.  I am thinking the best/cheapest way for me to go about this is to glue a 130gr Zwickey No Mercy onto a 125gr steel adapter.

The arrow is 9/32" and the steel adapters only come in 11/32".  Is this going to be a problem?

I haven't found any brass inserts that are the right size for the ST Epic 600, which would be my preferred route.

Also, the calculator is showing a 484gr arrow, 26.4FOC, and 146.4fps.  

Although I'm doing this primarily as a learning experience while waiting for my Lost Creek longbow to arrive, do y'all think this would be suitable to launch at a little Georgia whitetail at, say, 5-15 yards?

I don't know about Georgia, but it wouldn't be fittin' for an Arkansas whitetail.  Gotta be 40# to be legal.

Sharp head + 484grain + 146ft/s + in the boiler room = Happy Meat Day !!

I asked a similar question the other day.
Close to the same arrow stats.
Basically the response was keep it under 20yds.
Be mindful of the time a flight.
A deer can move a bit during the time between release and strike.

It's legal in GA,  no minimum draw weight.  Primarily theoretical with regard to the deer.  I'll probably test it on some pork and maybe beef ribs just for fun.

  Anyone have a comment on the adapter/arrow interface?

I think you will be just fine.The steel adapters have a rounded back edge.Here is a picture of one on a 5/16" shaft.

I also shoot light weight poundages for bowhunting whitetail, javelina and small feral hogs. The only difference, I prefer a very heavy aluminum arrow that gives me a very high GPP with a high FOC. I just went from a 14 strand Dyan97 bowstring to a 12 strand Dyna97 bowstring on my 42# bow. I lowered the brace height on it too. No poundage limit here in Texas.
