Terry I have not used that particular make, but my dad, my cousin, and I have used those backpack beach chairs for years. That one looks better than the beach chairs because it has no arms. A chair like that is the ticket for hunting on the ground in natural blinds.

That looks kinda neat,a bit pricey but good stuff is most times. May deserve a bit more investigation......

I own one of the seats, but I have not used it very much.  The concept is awesome and the seat is comfortable.  I have read in a few of Joebuck's posts that he uses one for turkey hunting, and maybe Biggie too??

Just looking at it up top, two things I noticed about it from the pix flashing...

The bar across the front of the seat loox like it will cut off a persons circulation. Or force you to sit with your legs pretty far apart.

The back of the seat looks like it sits too far back.

Just what I've observed from the pix....

You have to lean forward to shoot out of any seat that rest against a tree so your draw elbow will not hit the back of the tree.  It appears the seat sits too far back because David is leaning forward to draw.......

circulation is not a problem since the majority of weight is distributed on your buttocks...I have sat for 6 to 8 hours ( well I slept some too) and it's that comfortable

Good questions Guru but no problems.  David made the first ones out of Alaskan pack frames. I took his dimensions and made my own.  I have been in mine for 15 years. It has a a lot of frequent flyer miles

My Buddy Chris has one about like that if not the same. I sat in it once and could easily make a morning Turkey hunt in one.It was comfy and could be put most anywhere.RC

I looked at the written material but never found how much it weighed. Can someone enlighten me?

There's about 50 dollars difference between the cost of the Huntmore and the PacSeat.

Not a truly significant amount when I am trying to evaluate which is going to do the best job of supporting my back.

I wish we could find someone to do an actual use comparison...hint-hint Pete Ward like persons.

I would be glad to to a comparison.....the Hunt More guy and I were gonna make a deal but he was out of chairs the last time I talked to him.

I would also like to get one of these for the packablilty.

I have been using something called the hunters seat. I just googled hunter seat and found it. I believe it was 40 dollars. Its great. Light weight. Easy to sling over your shoulder and still be able to draw if the sitiation arises. I will admit tho that pac seat looks a little more comfortable...

I'm ghillie suiting up this fall for deer, and I'm gonna need a good seat.....so I really would like to test both....and I can see a use for both.  One for closer hunts and one that is packable.

I hear you on the Ghillie suit.I have been thinking about going "ground only" for a couple of years now. Would`nt hurt me on pork but would be challanging on these Southern deer but I`m up for it. What really sparked my near commitment was yesterday when I was almost a mile in the swamp with a climber on my back and went by a place I killed a deer from the ground 4-5 years ago.I stopped and took the stand off and sat on a log...sweat running dowm my face and had a great recall of the deer killing. Then looked at the climber and all the other junk I had with me and thought.. your an idiot...RC

Grownmanrunnin quote:"I just googled hunter seat and found it."

When I googled it mostly what I got a lot of places to read about jumping horse over obstacles.

Do you have a company name or webpage.

Thanks!
