Moving to MO
«

It is official, I was notified we are moving to Kansas City, MO the first week of December. Any input on the hunting and any trad archery club info would be much appreciated. Will probably be moving to the north end of the city. I will miss the winters up here in Minnesota. Thanks for any direction.

Welcome!!! Check out the Mo Dept of Coservation website...Mo has alot of good public ground!! Then when you get settled, start knocking on doors!!
Not sure of any Trad Clubs in that area, but the United Bowhunters of Mo is mostly trad folks!
Pm your way!!

Welcome, I'm also a member of The United Bowhunters of Missouri. It is a state wide org. Like Brad said the majority are Trad guys but all are welcome.
There are a lot of MDC properties to hunt and also corp of engineers property around some of the lakes.
You'll find good hunting to the north and with any luck can get onto some private property.

I would suggest trying to live on the KS side of Kansas City.

Home to Braveheart Archery. I bet Tim Harms could get you headed in the right direction.

The wife and I are moving to Missouri also. We are supposed to close on a house in Savannah, Mo this month. I can't wait to start checking out new hunting territory. Maybe I'll run into you somewhere. Good luck and happy travels.

Welcome to MO
I live just east of KC, and I'm a lifetime member of the UBM.
There's a bunch of traditionl bowhunters in the area, 2 Trad Clubs, and The Nocking Point is the Trad Shop.

Jim...you will be north of St. Joseph, still close enough to join in on the fun
J.P. Enterprises "Traditional Archery Equipment" is in St. Mary's Mo just north of Savannah.

If you are in KC then you aren't far from The Nocking Point in Winchester, KS. It's an easy jaunt west of KC. Mike Horton runs it. Really nice fella and a fantastic trad shop.
