Who says Hills are slow (video) ... outtake added
« on: October 02, 2010, 02:34:00 PM »
The arrow is 502gr. from a 55lb Big Five ....  Just for fun. 16 yards.  The camera is about a foot under the target and a bit to the left.

and a short outtake

SSHHHHH!! Don't let everyone know. The wait for a new one will get longer and the price of used ones will go up.

Good job, I love my Hills and never found them to be too slow. On the other hand, I have tried some rocket recurves that just meant I missed faster.

Cool! Quiet bow, and love the hiss of the arrow.

For me, I prefer a slow quiet arrow over a loud fast arrow. With that said, my 42# bow shoots a 657 grain arrow at 151 fps and my 37# bow shoots a 570 grain arrow at 152 fps. My arrows don't even hiss on the way to the target.

Good post Stone Knife. My Mohawk at 47@27 is not a speed bow by any means but it is forgiving and hits where I`m looking. I love Hill style bows and These slight r/d bows. My form is too bad for a fast bow I guess. The very best hunting shots I`ve ever made were with Hill style bows.RC

Great perspective.  You wonder how deer manage to jump the string when it's that fast.
