Hello, I am First Sergeant Vernon Pratt and I am stationed in Afghanistan. My unit arrived here in country last July and since arrival we have with the help of the Michigan Longbow Association opened the Camp Sabalu-Harrison-Camp Cuervo Archery Range. Since opening the range we have had a large turn out of new and experienced shooters. Unfortunately we have begun to run into problems, our equipment is begining to break down through normal use. I am posting this message to all of you in the hopes you may have the un-used but usable archery items lying around that could be put to use over here. Currently I am down to a dozen arrows (usable) and six bows. As I stated most of our shooters are new "virgin" shooters so arrows and bows take a beating. Our range is limited to 25 yards maximum so bows 20-40# are more than adequate, arrows aluminum is king; our only dozen wooden just didn't take the punishment. We have six armguards, but are limited on finger tabs and glove to only 1 ea.. It is my intent that this range be a legacy opportunity that will remain open and available long after I leave this country. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Vernon Pratt
