Nice shot, all I've gotten this season was a squirrel that was alerting the woods to my being there.

But its been fun regardless.

Thanks everyone. It was my first coyote. I didn't think it was very big; it weighed 36#.

Rufus25, I shoot Black Widow PLX longbows. I fogged it with some flat camo paint.

penrosefred, I shot it in the southern part of the lower peninsula.

Very difficult to draw on a coyote, yet to hit one. They die hard too! Congrats.

Nice shooting, Denny, but there must be more to the story. Were you on the ground or in a stand? I think taking one from the ground would be the ultimate in difficulty. Even from a tree stand would be darn tough.

I got to within about 20 yards of a big male once, but he disappeared into the brush before I could get an arrow drawn. They are smart and spooky critters for sure.
