One reason I want a new Widow is the Asbell grip.  It is the best grip that I have found on any bow.

I bet with an SBD string and some decent wool silencers the noise issue will go away.

I'm still considering it as a Christmas gift to myself or something like that.

went through the widow phase then i found another to love.then another, and so on..widows are quiet as long as you use bowhush and hushpuppies on them.theres nothing cooler looking than a well dressed psax with wool socks on.  :clapper:  my osage psax was as smooth a recurve as you could hope for.

Since BW changed their limb design with the Precision models several years ago, they are every bit as easy to quieten as any recurve out there. I have a PCH, a PSA, and a PTF. They are all extremely quiet. I will say that the PCH is my favorite because of it's short riser and being a takedown  with the PTF coming in close second.

I get soooo tired of the threads on the other site saying BW's are too loud, too expensive, too ugly and so forth. I never see another bowyers products bashed similarly.

Having 6 bows has nothing to do with it.  Need has nothing to do with it.  If you WANT it and can swing it, DO IT!

I like the looks and idea of the PCH. I have a PSAIII -58".  If I didn't own the PSA I'd buy a PCH. My widow is very quiet with just a single set of whiskers installed.

If you think the single  Silvertip you own is enough...(I have my 1st Silvertip on order) ...the PCH might be a great next bow for you!?

I see you are also missing a Rose Oak Super Wildcat and is it simply a glaring typo that there are no Blacktails listed on your post?

I have a 54" PCH and yes with the string that came with it it was LOUD! Put an SBD 10 strand D10 string on it with bow hush and hush puppies and it is whisper quiet. I really like this little bow.

Whitetail Chaser I have a new PSAX and have shot the PCH . For me the PSAX was a better fit but neither bow was noisy , no more than any other recurve Ive ever shot .

I have had a couple of older Widows that I needed to quiet down, however I now have a newer PSAX that is very quiet. My Morrison albeit I love it is louder than the PSAX.

I have a 20 year old MAII.  Prior to the CNC models. It is a little noisey, but shoots great.  Very accurate for me, but starting to get a little heavy in pull weight.

This post is great!
Never been a Widow fan myself. If you get a BW over a Silvertip, please dont say so. I'll have to kill myself.

I've always been fond of the "beware of the man with one gun" mentality.

We're talking bows in this case but you get my point.
