Outstanding story and harvest! Congrats Cheney on a great adventure and I'm glad to see that Hill get bloodied.

Man, shooting from a blind with a 69" longbow could not have been that easy. Again, way to go!   :archer2:

Way to go! I admire your determination, you surely deserved that kill. I hope you heal-up quickly, and good luck with the new bow! I'll be looking for pics when she arrives.   :clapper:    :clapper:    :clapper:

I'm glad you had success but if it were me, or my wife (who has done it, as well) and there are that many coydogs out and about there would have been a number of those critters thinned out with a shotgun by this time.
Every so often a couple need to be killed so the rest of the pack remembers their better manners.  First coyote I ever shot at was fixing to have my beagle for breakfast.  I know what it is like to come close to loosing your best friend.

Nice job!

You don't have to remove any cartilage from the ears. While skinning it out cased, when you get down to the ears, just cut the ears off of the skull area as close to the head as possible and this will insure that the ears stand up well and full after drying.

Congrats, that sounds like an intense and fun hunt. Good luck on your recovery I'm betting your new Black Creek will be enough motivation to heal.
