Welcome Smokey Lures! My Testimonial
« on: October 11, 2010, 04:06:00 PM »
A buddy of mine with a famous twin brother hooked me up with Smokey last year. I used his pre scrape advice and products and had deer in mock scapes on the fake licking branch in july and august. i was able to get some really good info of the bucks i had from cameras. Smokey also sold me his FEMALE coon cover scent. Time and time again i had deer walk down the trail i walked in on and never get spooked. i also masked my scent in the tree with it also ( coons climb trees!) . THIS STUFF WORKS..Coon cover scent is not on his web site but call him for it. He only uses the female urine. it makes a difference!. Picture of the buck i killed was from a "Smokey setup". I have never talked up another scent company in my life untill i tried Smokeys products. HE is a TRAPPER and his stuff is fresh and real. Ya'll give him a try and he's a good fellow.

Smokey is a new sponsor on the site. Check him out

Dandy of a buck Joe, congrats!

Hey Joe, I see you're living in Ms, but are you originally from Ga?

Nice buck Joe, he's a dandy! I hope I get a chance at one near as nice next Saturday. I have some of Smokey's scents out at a couple of my favorite spots too.

Ordering from him right now cannot wait to put the trail cam on some of his stuff. A trapper knows scent - (most of the time).

I will edit this to add for the past several yrs I had not tried any ones lure but another individuals curiosity stuff as I actually seen that work - my main mode of operation was to just try to keep the wind in my favor and forgo all the scent play. But I cannot help but try this man's stuff.

buck was shot about 30 yards downwind from a Smokey Licking Branch I had kept up all fall. He was headed that way. My bow is a homemade glass bow I made about 15 years ago. Enough about me, but call Smokey and  ask him about his whole rut setup lures. He also taught me how to properly lay a scent trail with an unscented paper towel on monofilament. The guy is a wealth of knowledge and I love learning. I will buy lure from a trapper before a chemical company any day?

Looks like a great product.  Congrats on a tremendous deer.  If someone knows Smokey let him know Wensel is spelled with an S not a Z.  Common mistake but probably not something you want on your website.
