Tomorrow I am going to try still hunting. Stand hunting properties where deer only travel through temporarily is tough. you have to be there when they are moving through and if they have any distractions on neighboring property, guess what, you are not seeing deer or they will be running. Usually they have been nocturnal.
I have some public property that has deer but they are a tough hunt too. They hang out in areas that they can sense you from a half a section away. My hope, with this rain and a slow walk, and the geothermals I may get a shot opportunity. I also hope they are somewhat acustomed to smelling hikers. Most hikers dont stink as bad as me though
