"AMBUSHED" in Jersey
« on: October 16, 2010, 08:50:00 PM »
I got my Ambush bow from Chuck at TWO TRACKS today and wanted to share it. This is my first bow under 56" and I am simply amazed by this little beauty! First of all, the finish is just perfect, top-notch workmanship without a doubt. The specs are 50"--57@28. Birdseye Bocote with Figured Sepele I beam Riser. Bamboo limb core with Black Glass. I love Bocote, but this is the first Birdseye Bocote I've seen, and it is just awesome. I draw 26 1/2", so I'm getting about 53# or so from her. I had just a brief chance to try her out before it got dark, and even without any tuning I am seriously impressed with her. This is without a doubt the fastest bow I have ever shot. Man she smokes an arrow down range! I can tell that once I get Bow Hush and silencers on her she will be very quiet. This was a stock bow, but the grip fits me perfectly. The shelf is cut about 1/8" from center. I am just pleased as can be with this awesome little bow. Anyone looking for a great short recurve should give Chuck a call. He was a pleasure meeting on the phone and doing business with. I'm sure this bow will not be my last TWO TRACKS. Thank You Chuck!

Steve it sounds to me like an Ambush would be perfect for you. She's so light, and at this length I know she'll be easy to carry and maneuver. I can't believe such a wisp of a bow packs such a wallop. She was really rocking my RiverBottom Buck 3D target! I have a Skookum 2 arrow quiver that should work well on her.
