Probably not many of you here know Eric personally, but he's well-known in these parts at archery tournaments. He's generally one of the top shooters in the selfbow class, plus he makes one of the finest selfbows you'll ever care to shoot. His specialty (at least one of them) is bamboo-backed osage.
Eric is a super nice fellow, always has a smile on his face and a good word. His wife Glenda is a ray of sunshine. They are both a big asset to the archery community.
Eric recently decided to quit making bows to sell, but he'll still make them for charity. He's supplied the STA with a bow for our "Catch-A-Dream" foundation fund-raiser, and his bows always get a lot of attention.
Anyhow...for some reason, Eric made a bow for me. I've been drooling over his work for years, kept planning to buy one, but just never could get around to it--not enough time, or money. I got the bow today, and honestly I wouldn't be afraid to take it hunting this afternoon. It's marked 60@30, and my 75/80# POC arrows fly like darts from it--and they go where they are supposed to, at least out to 25-30 yds. Super sweet draw, fast, quiet, very little shock--it out-shoots the majority of laminated bows I've shot.
If you ever get a chance to own one, jump on it. They shoot as good as they look--and they look beautiful--Eric is very much an artist. I am tickled pink with mine--plan to hunt with it soon.
Thanks a million Eric!
