First blood of the season.
« on: October 17, 2010, 08:54:00 PM »
It's been a slow season for me so far, haven't been seeing much. I got to my stand a little early this morning and it was perfectly clear with a beautiful veiw of the stars as I waited for the sun to come up. I had deer on me before the sun was up.   I could hear deer moving around me. A old doe was making her way to me, she held up 40 yards out, she new something wasn't right. She paced back and forth till she built of enough confidence to come on in. She held to the edge trying to get around me. She gave me a slightly quartering away shot a 22 yards. Took the shot and drove the stinger home. She made a 100 yard dash an piled up.
Fresh meat for the freezer. And broke the ice for 2010
Took her with a 59# home built take down with a mangos stinger head.
