Wondering how many of you shoot Metal Riser TD's for 3D or to hunt? What do you shoot and recommend? Kinda thinking about one but not sure which.

I shoot a Trad Tech Titan and love it...a 17" ILF that you can put short, medium or l;ong limbs on and is a godd length of riser for both the hunting aspect and 3d!!

I will be shooting 3D with a metal riser recurve next year . I plan on using a Hoyt Excel riser with Winstorm limbs. I'd been trying out different recurves( both one piece and 3 piece all wood bows ,  but once I shot the Hoyt riser , I was in love . Shooting off the shelf too.  gillchaser

I acquired one of the brand new "The Stick's" by Tim Strickland in early August. It immediately replaced all the wooden riser bows I had been practicing with as my hunting bow this year. It was designed by the successful Olympic archery coach our country has every had (Tim Strickland). Tim is also host of his own TV show --Strickland's Archery Adventures -- he hunts instinctive and his wife hunts with a compound.  My Stick is 58" but he makes it in 60 and 62.  You can be assured, Tim designed this bow to be a technical shooter-the grip is fantastic!

They have a try-out program you can look into. Google Strickland Archery and you can learn more.

Here's a close-up of the riser (LH). You'll see it uses a plunger style "springy" rest. This springy rest is also a delight-- much improved over the old-style springy's that tore up fletching.

Bear TK Mag's are the best!  Here is one that will be in the tree with me some this year.

Tradtech Titan for everything. I've had a DAS riser...it's nice but, like the Titan better.
