This is my first year with a recurve and I just harvested a doe last weekend at 6 steps.  Fun stuff!  There is a 150-160 class 10 at my parenets and I have been intending to hunt with the wheel bow but in reality all my stands are 20 or less shots so I think, like you I will persue the big guy with the recurve.  I just bought the wheel bow this spring but it might be retired.  Antelope hunting excluded.  After this season I either need to finish the hickory self bow I started or get a new recurve with a heavier draw to continue but this has been a fun adventure that I don't want to end.   Congrats on a nice buck and a renewed spirit.

Congrats on the deer and a great looking bow.

I just took my first deer, a doe, with a bow I made.  It sure is a great feeling!

Heck, I'd be happy with that one.  Good luck on the other.

To cool! You didn't copy a Centaur did you  ;)
Aim small miss small and remember you miss 100% of the shots you dont take!
