My OTHER buck of a lifetime!

This is by far the best deer that I have had the pleasure of seeing taken! This is my son Drew's first bow kill. He was 11 years old at the time (last season). He was hunting with a 40lb Colt recurve bought from ****, cedar shaft and a Zwicky head. He has grown so much this past year, he doesn't even look like the same kid! We have been hitting it hard this season and I'm sure he'll connect soon. As excited as I was this year to get my buck, I literally had tears of joy last season when Drew took this guy!

Wow, how very cool that he has taken a deer with a trad bow at his age.  Must be an incredible feeling as a father.  Doesn't get much better I'll bet..

I'm betting that if you had to give one of them back, it wouldn't be this one. Your son must have nerves of steel. Might have been good lessons from Dad. Good on your Son, and you too!

No arguments here, I would trade the best of my kills to see my boys faces when they killed their first deer.  I have been absolutely blessed to be in the same stand with my boys when they took their first bucks, both took almost identical 8 pointers.  Nothing better than that.

Very nice!
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.
