That is a loooong draw with stick.  There was a guy in a bowshop a few years back that had a 36" draw.  He was some kind of Basketball player, I am not into sports so the name did not mean much, but his nickname was "Big Country".  The man was huge.  He looked like he was 7 foot tall.  He ended up shooting a full length arrow with an overdraw.  Crazy.

I shoot a 30" draw and the shortest bow I shoot is 62". I had a 60" but seem to stack to much.

I shoot 31 on some bows and I sure feel better with a 64".. actually both of mine are 63"
Was that "Big Country" the Oklahoma State basketball player from back in the day.
Man, I can't even remember his name... just Big Country.

With a 31" draw length and a bow of 60" in length will probably give you a bad or severe case of "finger pinch".

I also have a 31" draw. This is not a bad deal.I make a 60" "TORNADO" that a guy with a 31" draw could shoot with out pinch or stack. Now,with that being said i just like the feel of a 64" recurve better. The 60" recurve is nice in a short tent blind. You can see the "TORNADO" on my website.Hope this helped some.

You are going to need to do some homework on finding bows that will work for your draw.

Bows that I own and shoot (32"+ draw) are:

68" Chek-Mate Crusader (longbow)
62" Chek-Mate Hunter II (recurve)
64" Griffin (longbow)
56" Shrew Classic Hunter (longbow)

I have shot others (Ancient Spirits - longbow, Blacktail - recurve), and yes, there are others that will work too, so talk with the bowyers.  Truth be told, most "mass-production" brands will likely not work for you.  About the only way it could be worse for you is if you were left handed too.....  :saywhat:

I have a 30" draw and can shoot some 56" bows some I can't.  I can shoot most 60" bows without finger pinch, 62" is probably the most confortable length for me, although I have a 64" I cannot see much difference between the two.  I agree with Bob W, most production bows will stack badly at that draw.  All my bows are customs, thats one thing you get with a custom bow, the Bowyers know what each of their bows will and will not do and whey will not sell you something that will not work for you.  R.W.

30" draw for me as well, stay at 62" or longer, in my opinion. I can shoot any bow I want, but some "hurt" too much. I just picked up a 62" Fatal Styk and it is probably the most comfy bow I have drawn to 30".

I have a 31" draw and prefer bows 64"+

But have a Black Widow PMA 62" that I shoot regularly and there is no finger pinch.

I see that BobW have a shrew in 56" that was interesting...guess I`ll look out for a shrew, sure would like a short bow as well  :archer:

You can always compensate(I shouldnt say this)A string loop and a release.I had a long draw as well with my wheels and I added a 1 1/2 string loop and used the release. It worked
