Great Morning in the Woods!
« on: October 21, 2010, 01:00:00 PM »
I took the morning off work when I heard a cold front was moving in and I would have a perfect NW wind for my latest stand I put up.  When 8:30 rolled around I looked up and saw two doe coming in and I stood up and got ready.  The one came in behind me offering a perfcet broadside shot at 17 steps and the Brack shot the cedar perfectly through both lungs.  About 80 yds. later I found my deer.  Now it's time to get serious about buck hunting!

I was using a Brackenbury Shadow 68# @ 27" with cedars tipped with 4 blade Eskimos.

Great job. Enjoy the venison.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.
