case for a Custom Kodiak T/D

Trying to finish this up:

Sides are veneer plywood from an old cut-off from a hollow-core door I picked up off the side of the road.

The ends and sides are cut from 3 1/2" wide, half-inch (true dimension) thick poplar craft boards 11 3/16" and 30 7/16" long respectively.

Managed to find brass hardware at Lowes (draw catches and hinges) and Home Depot (handle).

Need to buy some arrows which fit in the case, attach a strap or chain to keep it from opening too far, work out how to glue a paper lining to the inside of the lid and how to make a fitted interior --- was planning on using cardboard, but went on a recycling binge, and am out.

Thanks for posting the pictures! Hopefully everyone can see what we're talking about now.

I did manage to find some arrows which just barely fit --- but only w/o points, so I need to get some cut to 28.75" or so, or resign myself to removing and reattaching constantly.

Still need to work out a compartment (w/ a latch?) for armguard, glove, bow string, wax, and bow stringer and permanently attaching the cloth lining --- also need to work out something for a quiver.

Improvements / changes I'm considering:

 - larger, more comfortable handle (the one I'm using is one of a pair of chest handles --- Woodcraft has a Napoleon-era handle which is better suited to one-hand carry but it may be too large --- perhaps a leather handle? Or maybe I could re-shape the handle somehow?)

 - bracket for a quiver and keep arrows in that instead --- I like the fold-out arrow-holding bracket, but I really want to fit a quiver in the case --- I suppose the worst-case scenario would be an inexpensive cloth quiver which would fold down to fit in the compartment I need to fashion, but I'd like something nicer, but will probably have to make another case to have room for that.

Any thought or constructive criticism would be welcome.

William
