Nice. I like how you adressed that tough shot and put a plan together. Thanks for sharing.

Hunting the cutovers is good, especially about two or three years later. But briars take over quickly too.

SC and NC cutovers are gooood huntin'.

Congrats, thanks for taking us along.
Hunting was hazardous, but at least it guaranteed the freedom of the individual.

There is no doubt that the onset of farming saw the end of leasure for the majority of people, who were destined to toil in the fields.

Very nice - I too have missed really close shots and like to shoot a few practice arrows right below me because I find it so easy to shoot over/high on that shot.  Congratulations on the deer.

Sincere congratulations!!!

Great shot, great story, and great pics.

Nothing like a miss at close range to make the appreciation that much sweeter when you do finally score!

Thanks for sharing.

Many happy returns!!!

Excellent! You were able to share in one of my favorite completions of the hunt. Tracking her down. Great jog!

Tell us more about your set-up if you don't mind.

Nice job.  Way to overcome a miss.  Practice makes perfect.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.
