So a buddy and i were talkign about the helix broadheads @  http://www.stricklandsarchery.com/.

I remember an artle written a couple years ago about single bevel heads and why you use them. Any of you guys know where this is at?

Have any of you used the Helix?

I love 2-blade single bevel heads for big game, but I also only use BHs with a straight edge based on Ashby's findings about concave and convex heads on heavy bone penetration. Not that they won't work mind you (before someone skins me) just want to improve my chances for penetration on a bad shot hitting bone.

The quest to improve is so focused on a few design aspects & compensating for hunter ineptness as to actually have reduced a bow & arrow’s effectiveness. Nothing better demonstrates this than mech. BHs & speed fixated designs
