Wow, this was the fastest archery shipment I've ever received! I saw the thread started here noting the "factory sample" sale of Silver Flame broadheads. I made an on-line order for 3 each of the 100 and 150 grains broadheads.
I received an e-mail confirmation with a few moments and theh broadheads arrived TODAY -- the first business day (Monday) since I placed the order.
I wouldn't have expected the order to even be shipped until today and I was expecting to receive this order from Seattle no sooner than Wednesday or Thursday.
I've alread shot one each of the broadheads from close range (10 yards) and I can already tell I'm going to love em!
If you've been thinking about buying some of these, the factory samples are much more affordable at $15.95/head instead of the normal $30 per head. The broadheads come shaving hair sharp. Apparently the point is a tiny bit blunted as ABS is experimenting. They deface the ferrel a bit so they won't mix these experimental heads with the current model. No problem for me a little of the black scratched off. I intend to scratch a bunch of the black off on whitetail rib bones.
I'm going to use the 150 grain (next year) to bump up the weight of my arrow. The 100 grain can be used this year as a 100 grain is what I'm currently using. The problem is, I have no complaints with the Helix I'm using so....here we go again. Something new.
These Silver Flames remind me of a very souped up version of the old Pearson Deadhead.
