Every shot taken at an animal is a learning experience.  Just relax and think about the next shot you're going to take. You'll have more shots in the future. Just tell yourself you'll do it perfect next time.

Stick with it!

Failed? When was the last time you felt so alive as when that buck was in that scrape? In our otherwise insipid lives how often do we get to experience that kind of excitment? You only fail when you don't go back at it, and we know that ain't gonna happen. Next time you'll be sharing the Hero pics and details of the hunt.

Join the club, learn from this and just hang in there.

Lots of steps along the way. Embrace a miss for what it is.....a learning experience.

Hang tough.

You go from 3 deer last year to a miss  :smileystooges:

Dont beat yourself up too much Tim, It happens to teh best. My buddy Terry missed a close shot the other morning and he is a great shot!

Like Ken said you can shoot, I've seen you do it. Keep at it, slow down the next shot and take home the bacon.  Dont worry, next time you will be pokin fun at me for missing, it happens to everyone from time to time.
Relax,

You'll live longer!

To go get "wiggly-jiggly" is why we go hunting.

Actually getting an animal is secondary...right?

I know it`s easy to say, and hard to swallow.

Been there, done that, and hope to be there again.

Sulk away, and if you need advice on sulking, just ask.  :D

Don't fret the small stuff!

If the miss really bothered you that much you probably wouldn't have made the post in reference to it.
I think the real reason you posted this is because you were proud to have had the experience and wanted to share it.
The fact that you missed, believe it or not will probably have you remembering this encounter long after you forget some of the ones where you didn't miss.
I have buddies remind me of deer I shot on different hunts all the time that I've forgotten about. But I remember all the ones I've missed, because each miss was a learning experience. And each one is ingrained in my memory.
 Now go get him!
