Always worth a shot.  If you don't ask, how will you ever know the answer.

I like my Huntmore. The seat is cumbersome to carry but when set up it is fantastic. Great blind chair, I am experimenting on how to carry it set-up so I don't have to put it together each time.

I just leave mine together, and carry it with the legs folded together.  I even keep it in the back of my truck that way.  It's not bad if you don't have a long way to cary it, but for 1/4 mile, it is no problem, and could probably go further if I really wanted to.   Best part is, if you get tired, just sit down.  :biglaugh:

Use the carrying bag as a sling for the chair when you don't want to break it down. Fold up the legs slip them through the strap with the bag cradled under the hub mechanism and the strap over your opposite shoulder. The back of the seat will rest on your front with the seat along your side. Reach your carrying arm between the seat and hub and grab onto the most convenient handhold and you can carry it comfortably for quite a long ways without breaking it down. Works well for me anyway.

The angle of the back on the pacseat looks just about perfect for a nap in the woods. I might have to try one.

CVA makes an interesting looking little 360 degree swivel seat.   The legs are adjustable and they are stored in the seat itself.   They come in different sizes and since I'm sporting a post middle aged size butt, I ordered a 12" seat  to use on the ground this fall

landman,
I have the Bullseat like the C.V.A. without the backrest...It is a 360 degree but after about 1/2 hr. sitting my butt and back really hurts bad...The cushion is fastened to the top of the seat with velcro and not soft at all...That was my reason for getting the Huntmore...Another small problem I've noticed with the Bullseat was the noise it made trying to pull/push the legs back into the seat when you are taking them out and putting them back in for packing out...The only thing I liked about it was the cost which was $59.99 when I purchased it 3 years ago...For a quick 1 hr. hunt it is worth a little pain but longer then that you will need to stand and stretch often...It isn't as quiet as the Huntmore 360 when you turn ...Wish I could build a chair that packs light, turns 360,smooth on the butt and back, and costs under $100.00...I quess each chair has it's good points and bad points so the best thing for anyone to do is find someone that will let you try before you buy or with a 100% buy back quarentee...

Well..............I have given it "plenty" of thought, weighed the "pro's and con's" of both of these seats and my ultimate decision is

I ordered one of them (the Waldrop PacSeat) for my wife.........and..........I ordered the Huntmore 360 for ME.

I really appreciate all of your opinions and the "clincher" for me was that BOTH of them are excellent products and depending on the person it could vary from day to day. I am a "sitter", I find my spot and park myself on it. I'm not one that does much moving around after I pick my spot for the day. My wife is the same way and I am sure that we will be pleased with our purchases.

I'll report back later after some "excursions" have taken place.

Thank-You.....everyone for your input, I knew you wouldn't let me down.

That's the best thing to do anyway...Just buy both  and see what fits the best...If you don't like it then swap the wife...I mean swap your chair with the wifes chair...   :o      :help:   oops sorry Mrs. Montgomery I didn't mean it the way I wrote it...

Keefer,

I'll be honest about it.  I can't stand to sit in one spot very long anyway without moving a bit.   I was out with a muzzle loader yesterday and after 20 minutes of sitting on a cushion under a tree the lower half of my body was numb, so I had to get up and shift and wiggle anyway.   I'll try this thing and make a comment or two about it after using it.   Even if it doesn't work well for ground hunting with a bow it would probably make a great stool for dove hunting or camp use.

Winterhawk1960:
We'll see what kind of politician you are when you get your seats. I'm betting on you carrying the HuntMore and sitting on the Waldrop PacSeat. Your wife might let you try the HuntMore on occasions if your lucky but only if your good. Ha! Ha! Let us know what you think of the seats once they are in hand please.

Nah......Bill......she goes her own way and I go mine. Now, I'm not sayin' that we won't switch around some if'n she wants to.

Honestly, she picked out the Waldrop PacSeat herself......we'll see, either way, were gonna have a couple real nice seats to plop our behinds down on.....huh ???

Landman,
You could always carry an extra cushion to add to the C.V.A. for longer sits and velcro it to the other cushion that came with it...I've seen some soft ones at some sporting stores that were already camo ...Keefer's <")))><

I like the looks of that Waldrop PacSeat pretty good Winterhawk.......
How is your wife liking it?
Have you had a chance to evaluate it yet?

Very interested!
