That has to be my Red Wing Hunter45@28(51@my draw length)

It's old, I guess from the sixties, got some dings from a long life, but throws arrows with authority    :D

This was my first tradbow, and for me very special( and I shoot it good too)

Had to throw away my old Winchester camo ball cap (mossy oak camo) from around '91.

Fell apart this yr after turkey season.

Crap, I'm still bummin' about it.
Twist it up, don't pluck, marinate then grill.

That would be 2 things: My longbow , that my wife bought me. And my friendship with my hunting partner and friend  Ray Hammond.

My 70's grizzly supreme. It was my fathers and even though he didn't hunt he loved to fling arrows. He was the one who introduced me to traditional archery when I was a pup. He always had time to shoot with me. Some of my most cherished memories. I miss you Pa!!!

Mine would be my Zona Custom T/D Recurve.

Bill did an excellent job designing this bow for me & so far since I've returned to Traditional Recurve I have shot this bow the best of all the bows I have in my collection.

Zona Custom Recurve: 60" 49# @ 27.5".
Sky Sky Hawk Recurve: 60" 47# @ 27.5".
Genesis 27:3 Now therefore, please take thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and hunt game for me.

I have 3 of them and it does not matter which bow, arrow, or other equipment they use as long as we get to spend time enjoying the outdoors.

Justin - bowfishing mad man

Kelsey...bowfishing mad women

Christopher...do not have a pix of him with a bow but that will be fixed here in a couple weeks when he comes home on leave.

The only Trad item that I have that isn't replaceable is my Bear Grizzly, it was given to my by my favorite uncle and the man is like a second father to me. He bought this back in the late 60's early 70's I'm guessing?

All the other stuff I have is just stuff.....and it can all be replaced.

Here it is again.

Other than my old Kodiak that I got from my father in law it would have to be Tradgang it's self. I couldn't hunt for the 2008 season in person but it was just as rewarding hunting thru you guys here from across the world. Thank you Tradgang. Mike

I have a fair to mediocre collection of old bows, broadheads and arrows and quivers, but I always have said the last hing to go will be my '63 Bear Kodiak Mag.. (Type 3) that I started hunting with in 1966.
It's a beat up old dog with half a dozen plugged holes, but it is "The 1"

Since you asked for "gear", I'll set the most important things aside:my son and best friend hunting buddies.

I have several recurves I really like, quivers, etc. I really like the new Silver Flame broadheads and the Helix Broadhead I acquired this year.

However, I don't own any item of traditional gear that I consider a prized possession yet. I need more than a  year (I've returned to recurves after shooting compounds since 1975).  I'm hoping one of my existing bows or one that I have on order will become that item.  I have a strong suspicion s Silvertip due in April is the most likely candidate.   If one of these bows definitely rises to the top - look-out because I'll offer up a left-handed rain forest for sale in the classifieds!

I carry my grandfathers fixed blade olsen knife, I feel an intimate link to my past each time I have it with me.  It passed through my father as well and they were both key figures in my hunting adventures.  Its not just a decoration, its razor sharp and each deer I kill is field dressed and processed with that knife just like grand dad would have wanted.  It is truly irreplaceable and I should probably put it up in a place of honor but I know my grandfather and father would both rather see it used every season and eventually lost than see it collecting dust.  Ive even purchased other olsen knives of the same model but none of them will ever be the knife I treasure.
Hunt fair, hunt hard, no regrets.

My most prized possession would be the old brass compass that was passed down to me from my grandfather. He carried it on every hunting trip we ever went on. He's still with me every time I go into the woods.
Bowhunting is a passion, not an obsession. Its just hard for my wife to tell the difference sometimes.

The 2 bows I will never part with are my old Browning Cobra, which I use for Turkey hunting and an Original Bill Stewart Multi Cam T/D that Bill made and gave it as a Gift.

The Browning is 50", 55# @ 28"....the Stewart is 56", Yew under clear glass with Maple riser which I had darkened. It's 58# @ 27". Here are pictures of both bows....
