Thats the way to stick to it!!!! It gets aggravativeing when things don't go right but you have proved that sticking with it and not giving up, learning from mistakes will pay off. I've hunted for 25 years and learn something every time I go out. Just getting close to a animal is a acomplisment in its self. WAY TO GO!!!!

Way to go, Bud.

You've got quite a start on some a lot older than you!

Try to enjoy the whole experience- I know when you are young the achievement of a goal is really important- but its the people, places, and total experience you'll remember as much as anything...

Keep a daily hunt journal- start now- and when you are 50 you'll have a wealth of data and experiences you can draw from, and look back on with pride and enjoy reading your thoughts from a deer stand over and over.

beauty buck!

Nice man. Trust me that was not too bad. I'm 19 now, but when I was 17 I missed a big guy like him. He was at 30 yards and I was on the ground, their was a sapling covering his front shoulder that I was so worried about. Well I was too focused on that sapling so I nailed it. I'm just glad that sapling was there because if it wasn't I would have nailed his front shoulder! Congrats, I'm glad it worked out for ya!
