Grasp the experience of being so close to such a wonderful buck. Those memories may become treasured memories in the future. It is your decision how you wish to look at it.

Congratulations David. Way to stick with it and being able to hold it all together. Reading between the lines I can tell you have the bowhunting bug really bad. The best part is you'll have it until you're an old man. I would also agree with those saying to start a journal and record every detail. I'd also suggest you make yourself an audio tape or even tape yourself with a camcorder so you can hear the excitement in your own voice. That will be priceless to you and your family 40 or so years from now. Again, my most sincere congratulations. Great job and thanks for sharing. BW

I'm more than twice your age and never conected with a big game with my bow yet... you did everything right in my book! Look like you have a long woodsman life a head of you! Keep at it!
Cheers

Fantastic acheivement!  congratulations.

And thanks for posting.
Hunting was hazardous, but at least it guaranteed the freedom of the individual.

There is no doubt that the onset of farming saw the end of leasure for the majority of people, who were destined to toil in the fields.
