Brock I had a Joe Mattingly bow he made for me called "The Two-Holer".

I ended up donating it for a fund raiser.

God bless, Mudd

PS: I don't know if Joe ever had a member number or not but I sure hope he did so he can be remembered in the new forum.

I named my Bob Lee Classic "Beau Bow" after my late pet Sheltie, Beau.  He was 18 when we had to put him down.

Every one I've built has told me it's name.   Latest one was red and orange cedar, named "Tequila Sunrise".   Better than my first cedar bow, which was named "Out of the Closet"... you can guess where the wood came from!

My personal recurve is named "MILLIE" named after my grandmother. As a bowyer i really never got attached to any bow, for to long.Someone would always talk me out of it.Last year i went on a Oregon elk hunt. The day after i arrived, i found out, by a call home, that my grandmother, 90 yrs.old, had a stroke.I was devastated! There were no airports, near where we were, in eastern Oregon. The next day i made a call and was able to talk to her, in the hospital. She told me to stay, she would be fine and use that bow and bring her home a elk. While on that trip i named that recurve after her and now i have my own personal bow.She recoverd well and im happy to say we just celebrated her 91st.birthday.Very few 50yr.olds can say they still have there grandmothers.Im happy to say i do.Here is a picture of my SAFARI ELITE "MILLIE" RECURVE.

I had Chad put the name "One Shot" on my Lost Creek NAT he made me in May. It is a tribute to my dad who passed away 2/4/05 at the age of 61. His nickname was one shot Bobby. Miss him the most when hunting- they were are closest times together.

Great names guys.

I have "Dad" written on my bow.

Even though I am a 1000 miles away, this way I am always hunting with the one who has showed me the way of the woods. He and I traveled together to the bowyer's shop and with its building, rekindled his love for traditional archery and created another way for us to stay close.

I thought that someday I may give that bow to my son so having Dad on the limb will have a dual meaning.

I was thinking of calling it "Hoosier" for "Hoosier daddy" but I think its somewhat funny yet somewhat disrespectful.

Good names guys

I've taken to calling my Buff "Spot". She's pictured here with her most recent "Litter".
