I love Curley Maple, in all shades of stain. Here's a few I own, or have owned.

Thanks Gen273. That top one is a Timber Hawk I wish I still had. The very dark one is a 2pc Bama LB. The pics don't really show how beautiful the Curley Maple came out with the dark stain. 2 Barrels, there was a thread within the last week or two of a new bow with Quilted Maple limbs that was just drop-dead goregeous. What I like about these Maples, Curley-Quilted-Tiger, is the 3D look to it. That Tiger Maple Pronghorn gives an incredible illusion of depth when you move the bow around in the light. I'm a "Grain Freak" and these types of Maple are up there on my list of favorites. Spalted Maple is another awesome looking wood.

Here's my new Endeavor that I posted earlier last week with quilted maple limbs.  I'm partial to this kind of maple because of the irridescent/3-D effect it has when stained under glass.

NBK, yours is the bow I mentioned in my post, I hoped you'd be along. That is just about the prettiest Quilted Maple I've seen. Just awesome!
