bama buck down
« on: October 31, 2010, 02:56:00 AM »
done a little mid day scouting in a creek bottom and found some swamp oaks dropping and plenty of deer sign so i changed my plan and moved to that area to hunt the afternoon.at about 6 i heard something coming in from behind me along the creek, when i can hear them they are way close, i looked down through the canopy below me and seen a racked deer below.i know he aint a giant but he looked huge to me from above him, heart went to pounding and breathing increased and i calmed myself as best i could as he picked an acorn from the ground.he was still under the cover of the tree i then seen another buck but he looked to be not going to give me a shot.i think this one was better anyway. i was ready for him when he stepped forward for the next one,for some reason i dont understand when them critters are crunching them acorns it tears me up,anyways he steps forward picks up another one and now he is at 11 yards broadside and i come to dull draw and release seen the white fletching disappear high behind his shoulder and he tore out.watched him and the other deer run off lost sight of him at about 60 yards the other deer stopped there and looked at him for a few secounds then left out i knew he was down and i had my biggest buck so far with a bow.i also got a big doe last monday morning this was thursday evening.  [/IMG]

oh sorry no field pics my camera was in my camper and my cell wouldnt flash.so had to get pics at camp.

Great.

Bears can attack people- although fewer people have been killed by bears than in all WWI and WWII combined.
