Checkered the grip on my Bruin!
« on: October 31, 2010, 09:46:00 AM »
Thought I'd finally post up some pics of my Bruin with the checkered grip I had done a few months ago.
I've owned just about every 3 piece recurve bow out there and always wanted to have my "favorite" bow checkered, well, here it is....
WOW!!! I thought I loved the grip before, but now I'm hooked! This is the only thing I could think of to improve a bow that was made by Mike Steliga-Who has been making bows for about 30 years.

I have a Schafer and I was thinking the same thing, but I know Dave sends his out, or did when I bought mine.

I like the checkering but love the bow. Man do they shoot and are so easy to get very quiet. My favorite modern recurves.

I was thinking about getting my bruin checkered this winter.  I have stopped thinking after seeing those pics.  Its going to get done.  Who did that for you?
