Another year has gone by and since he was 12 the routine still exists now at the age of 16.
Get home from school grab the backpack and homework and off to his treestand he goes.
Well, this year Jean-Pierre got to take a long weekend and hunt with his cousin Chad and Eli at their farm as a reward for receiving Highest Honors on his report card with a prefect 4.0 GPA. Once again as in the past, he was blessed with a beautiful doe that wandered in at 14 yds from his stand. Jean-Pierre made the prefect shot, right through the pump station with his Morrison ILF. It was his first year hunting with his new Morrison ILF and I am sure not the last. It proved to be a winning combination with the SBD 6 strand Ultra string...Silent But Deadly.
Jean-Pierre had a complete pass thru of the arrow using Aboyer Boneheads that were razor sharp. It did not go 15 yards before it fell over. It was a bloody highway not a blood trail.
Jean-Pierre, congratulation for a job well done in school and in the woods.
Jean-Pierre has once again made his Papa proud in more than one way.
To my best huntin’ buddy…. God Bless…
