You always make it look too easy RC. If my wife is ever hunting me I sure hope she doesn't send you.

Cool hunt and pics! --

RC do you take the deer apart in a gutless method packing them out like that?

RC, just a question...did you bone that deer out and just pack out the meat?? Great photos as always!

Thanks Guys. I field quarter and bone out the meat and put it in a pack that will roll up and fit in a cargo pocket. My good friend Brother John showed me this a long time ago on pigs . After I met Mr. Warren Womack I learned he had been doing this forever as well.Kinda like an Indian skinning a Buffalo I guess.. And no I don`t gut them. You make a slit for the heart and liver if you want after all the other meat is off.During the warmer months on deer and pigs you can hang the meat on a limb a few minutes to let it cool before putting it in the sack of like me I hunt by the River a lot and I`ll put it in the sack and set it in the river a bit to cool. If its to hot I high tail it to the truck or boat where ice is ready. If you`ll google Mr. Warren you can find his video on it. It takes all of 15-20 minutes to skin a deer like this. If I`m more than a very short drag from the truck its what I do.Like my Grandaddy said "work smart not hard".RC

In that pack you see the shoulders , hams and backstraps and tenderloins are in there as well as any other chunk of meat big enough to cut off.The pack looks small but it was probably 75 pounds.RC

Man you are a hawking machine!!!! This year has been aweful. Lots of acorns, no deer sightings. Never had this happen before. I hope my hawk isn't cursed!!!!!!!

I had a great time, and killed a little deer with my new longbow!  It's always a pleasure hunting with RC.  I stay in "sponge" mode when around the man, cause he is full of great hunting knowledge.
I didn't claw my way to the top of the food chain to eat vegetables!
