Morrison works it magic again (picture)
« on: November 04, 2010, 02:52:00 PM »
I took the week off hoping to catch the start of the chase phase of the rut. Seems like like I took the right week but couldn't set up in the right spot. On Tuesday I still hunted up on great 10 pointer. He was bedded in some golden rod right next to a scape and I got to 22 yards from him. He was dozing but facing me not offering an ethical shot. Well after 10 minutes the wind swireled and he got got a nose full of me.His eyes looked as big a tennis balls when he woke up to see me within his comfort zone ! This morning this buck offerd himself to me and I don't turn down a gift. Trusty Morrison Dakota 58" 52 @ 27 ,cedar shaft, eclipse 125 broadhead.

Very purdy bow and nice buck!

The quest to improve is so focused on a few design aspects & compensating for hunter ineptness as to actually have reduced a bow & arrow’s effectiveness. Nothing better demonstrates this than mech. BHs & speed fixated designs

The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.
