intrduce myself
« on: November 06, 2010, 05:19:00 AM »
Howdy, I just joined Trad gang, this is my first post. My Brother (Yollo Bolly) encouraged me a few years ago to get back into archery and he would talk about a traditional archery forum so here I am. The Good Book says He's given us all things richly to enjoy and Ive been enjoying immensely shooting the old Bear recurve my brother has loaned me. There is something deeply satisfying in watching an arrow you have just released hit what you were shooting at. I think partly because only you know how many times you have shot before it finely comes together. Any way I chose the name Wildwood because there is a small community in the mountains an hour or so from where I live, and not to far from there I took my first deer with a bow. What an experience that was. Any way thanks for having me, until next time....Wildwood

Welcome to tradgang.

I don't understand the fascination of watching a stick with feathers on it flying through the air.
I have read several others saying the same thing here. What's up with that?

Then there are others that spend an inordinate amount of time and money trying to find a bow that will fulfill their dream of the perfect bow.
What's up with that?

OK, I know my wife and she will have stopped reading at the end of the second paragraph.
Once she is satisfied that I am cured I'll be covered again........ for now...lol

Enjoy the journey and addiction along with the rest of us.

God bless,Mudd

Wildwood, welcome! This is a very congenial forum with lots to read and talk about. If you haven't done so yet, you may want to read the info the moderators have set forth at the top of this page. They are guidelines that keep it running smoothly, mostly commonsense kinds of things.

I would like to hear your story of taking your first deer near Wildwood, sometime.
